1. How to develop 16mm film with FWP lab chemistry
For the FWP lab chemistry, currently we have D97 and D96 for the black and white negative process, and ECN and ECP for developing color films.
"ECN and ECP refer to two different processes used in color negative film development. ECN stands for Eastman Color Negative, and ECP stands for Eastman Color Positive. While both are part of the color negative process, they serve different purposes. ECN is used to develop camera negatives (the original film stock), whereas ECP is used to develop positive prints from those camera negatives.
You can find all the development timetables on the walls of Bigroom 1

2.LAB Chemistry and how to use them
Members from the Chemistry group at FWP rotate every week to replenish chemistry, keep them fresh for members to use.
Black & white chemistry
For Black & White chemistry, currently, we have three batches of D96 and D97. They are located at the development sink at Bigroom 1
Batch A: replenishment is required
Used for: when you need the most consistent fresh chemistry.
Batch B: no need to replenish, it's checked regularly Used for: - when you don't need the most consistent fresh chemistry but just chemistry that works - when using an alternative developer: use the fix from this batch - when doing B&W reversal: use this batch for your second developer - workshop use
Batch C: no need to replenish, won't be checked Used for: - dirty experiments (e.g. mixing developer with soap). After use, goes directly to the recycling container.
How to replenish black & white chemistry (for all members)
If you decide to use Batch A, you need to register and replenish the chemistry after use.
Here is how to do it:

If you are insecure about replenishing on your own, or if there are no replenishers left in the refrigerator.
Please also leave a note on the registration form on the door indicating the amount of film you processed, so that when the chemistry group member performs their weekly shift, they can compensate for the amount and keep the chemistry fresh.
The form looks like this on the black door in Bigroom 1:
Note: You don't need to replenish or register if you are using Batch B or C.
Color chemistry
For color chemistry (ECN & ECP), we currently have only one batch, which is in a crate located on the metal shelf in Bigroom 1. The developers are stored in the refrigerator in Bigroom 1. See picture below:
You always need to replenish and register usage for the color developer ECN ECP.
