Developers and fix need to be replenished after each use. Replenishment rates are calculated by the quantity of film processed.

For reference:

Small tank can fit 8-10 meters of film: you need to replenish 125ml of developer and 60ml of fix.
Medium tank can fit 15 meters of film: you need to replenish 250ml of developer and 125ml of fix.
Large tank can fit 30 meters of film: you need to replenish 500ml of developer and 250ml of fix.

For each meter of film: you need to replenish 16ml of developer and 8ml of fix.

Steps for replenishing:

1. Take the replenisher developer/fix from the fridge.
2. Pour the required amount of replenisher developer/fix into a 2 litres’ measuring cup.
3. Pour the used developer/fix into the 2 litres’ measuring cup until it completes exactly 2 litres.
4. Put the leftover of developer/fix into the respective recycle chemistry container.
5. Label the replenishment date on the developer/fix bottles.
6. Make sure you fill in this form :)

Note: if you don’t feel comfortable replenishing chemistry by yourself, please come to the lab when Esther is available.
